Under the terms of its Charter, a majority of the members of Cadbury At Lewes' Board must be members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). The following individuals are officers and members of the Board of Directors of Cadbury At Lewes, Inc. None of these individuals have any equity or beneficial interest in Cadbury At Lewes, Inc.
Laura Deckmann, Chairperson
Mrs. Laura Shevzoff Deckmann graduated from the University of Michigan earning a Bachelors degree with a double major in Russian and Eastern European Studies and International Comparative Political Science. Laura worked as a liaison between Soviet Ministries and US companies looking to set up "joint ventures". After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Laura worked to identify viable business for foreign investment. Some of her major accomplishments include a casino/night club restaurant complex in Moscow, a water park in Sochi and other efforts. Laura retired in 1995 and resides in Milton with her two children and her husband who is a gastroenterologist at Beebe Medical Center.
Richard S. Grier-Reynolds, Vice Chairperson
Mr. Grier-Reynolds, retired former Distinguished Teacher and Head of the History/Social Science Department at Wilmington Friends School in Wilmington, Delaware is also an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program Site Visitor/Consultant. Mr. Grier-Reynolds is an involved Board Member to various community and Quaker related organizations.
Gil Kaufman, Resident
Mr. J. G. (Gil) Kaufman has a background of almost fifty years in the aluminum and materials industries, including senior executive management positions with Alcoa, Atlantic Richfield, and the Aluminum Association. Gil obtained his bachelors and masters degrees in civil engineering and a master degree in metallurgy, all from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) in Pittsburgh. He has published more than 150 technical papers on metallurgical technology, including five books defining the properties of metallic systems. He is a Fellow and Honorary Member of The American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), and a Fellow and Life Member of the American Society of Materials (ASM International). Gil remains a registered professional engineer in DE and OH, and continues to be an active consultant in areas of his technical expertise.
Mrs. Richards a life-long Quaker and presently Treasurer of Camden Friends Meeting is a retired Latin teacher from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware and volunteers extensively in the community.
Nancy M. Targett
Mrs. Nancy Targett has been Dean of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment at the University of Delaware and the director of the Sea Grant College Program since 2005. She is a marine chemical ecologist and has been a member of the UD faculty since 1984. Dean Targett conducts research on how chemistry mediates interactions between marine organisms in habitats ranging from coral reefs to the Delaware Bay. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, she received her master's degree in marine science from the University of Miami and her doctoral degree in oceanography from the University of Maine. She is active in several Boards.
Victor D. Amey, President and CEO
Mr. Vic Amey has been President and CEO of Cadbury Senior Services since 1994. Prior to joining Cadbury at Cherry Hill, Mr. Amey spent 20 years in acute care hospital administration. He is a licensed nursing home administrator, a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a former Continuing Care Accreditation Commission evaluator. He has served on the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) House of Delegates and also on the Boards of the New Jersey Association of Homes and Services (NJAHSA) and Friends Services for the Aging (FSA). He obtained his Bachelors Degree from Olivet College in Michigan and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.
